Connect PQ Intel to LinkedIn for API-based prospect discovery, Sales Navigator signal detection, and real-time buying intelligence from LinkedIn activity.
The PQ + LinkedIn integration unlocks prospect intelligence by tapping into LinkedIn's API ecosystem. PQ Intel detects buying signals from public LinkedIn activity — profile updates, content engagement, job changes, and company page interactions — and cross-references them with your ICP profiles to identify high-fit prospects in real time. The integration supports both standard LinkedIn profiles and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, giving you broad coverage across your total addressable market.
Once connected, PQ Intel continuously monitors your specified LinkedIn signal sources. Each detected signal is scored against your Ideal Customer Profile criteria and enriched with contextual metadata — the prospect's role, seniority, company, industry, and the specific trigger event that generated the alert. This means your SDRs receive not just a name, but a fully contextualized lead ready for personalized outreach.
PQ monitors public LinkedIn engagement signals such as posts, comments, profile updates, and Sales Navigator activity indicators. When a prospect matches your ICP criteria and exhibits buying intent — like engaging with competitor content or sharing pain-point-related posts — PQ flags them as warm or hot and pushes the signal to your connected channels. The detection engine refreshes every few minutes, so your team always has the freshest lead data.
Go to https://developer.linkedin.com and create a new app. Enable the Sign In with LinkedIn and Share on LinkedIn products under your app's settings. Add the redirect URLs from your PQ Intel settings.
In your LinkedIn app dashboard, request the openid, profile, email, and w_member_social scopes. For Sales Navigator data, additionally request r_organization_social and r_liteprofile scopes under your app's Auth settings.
From the LinkedIn app's Credentials page, copy your Client ID and Client Secret. Paste these into PQ Intel under Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn.
Click Connect with LinkedIn to complete the OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. PQ Intel will begin monitoring the LinkedIn signals you've configured — profile engagements, Sales Navigator activity, and company page interactions — and route matches to your team channels.
If you have a LinkedIn Sales Navigator account, navigate to Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn > Sales Navigator in PQ Intel and toggle on the Sales Navigator sync. Enter your Sales Navigator seat credentials and select the lead lists and saved accounts you want PQ to monitor for activity signals. PQ will cross-reference Sales Navigator lead list updates with real-time engagement to surface hot prospects first.
Enable the Profile Enrichment toggle under Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn > Enrichment. PQ Intel will automatically pull enriched profile data — headline, company, role history, skills, and recent activity — for every detected prospect and append it to the lead record. Configure which enrichment fields you want synced to your CRM or exported via webhook.
PQ Intel processes the following LinkedIn profile fields. Each field contributes specific signal intelligence that helps your team prioritize outreach and personalize messaging.
The prospect's full display name. Used for CRM deduplication and personalized outreach salutation. Signal value: essential for lead identity matching.
The professional headline displayed below the prospect's name (e.g., "VP of Sales at Acme Corp"). Signal value: reveals current focus area, seniority level, and role function at a glance — critical for ICP fit scoring.
Current employer and job title from the prospect's experience section. Signal value: enables company-level firmographic filtering and role-based targeting. PQ cross-references this against your target account list.
The number of 1st-degree connections the prospect has. Signal value: a strong proxy for network influence and social reach. Prospects with 500+ connections in your target industry are typically high-value nodes for account-based expansion.
Public posts, comments, likes, and shares from the last 90 days. Signal value: the richest source of real-time buying intent. A prospect posting about budget approval for a new CRM or engaging with competitor content is a high-priority signal that PQ scores and routes immediately.
Listed skills and endorsement counts. Signal value: validates domain expertise and can surface decision-makers who list procurement, vendor management, or specific technology stacks relevant to your product.
Companies and competitor pages the prospect follows. Signal value: reveals brand affinity and competitive landscape awareness. Prospects following your competitors are often in-market and evaluating alternatives.
PQ automatically discovers prospects by scanning LinkedIn for buying signals — prospects engaging with competitor content, posting about pain points your product solves, or showing career changes that indicate budget authority. Each match comes with ICP score and signal context.
When PQ detects a high-fit prospect from your Sales Navigator leads exhibiting warm signals — commenting on relevant topics, liking competitor posts, or sharing industry pain points — it pushes a hot alert to your team's Slack or Telegram channel within seconds.
Track prospect job changes, title updates, and company page follows. PQ flags decision-makers who move into relevant roles or start following competitor products, giving your SDRs the perfect timing for outreach.
PQ Intel uses OAuth 2.0 with minimal scopes. By default, only profile reading and signal detection scopes are requested. PQ never posts on your behalf without explicit write-scope authorization.
LinkedIn access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 and are never logged or stored in plaintext. Token refresh happens transparently — you never need to re-authenticate unless you revoke the app.
All API communication with LinkedIn is over TLS 1.3. PQ Intel only processes publicly available signal data and does not access private messages, connection graphs, or 1st-degree-only content.
You control exactly which LinkedIn signal types are monitored — profile changes, content engagement, company follows, or Sales Navigator activity. Each connection can be scoped to specific ICP profiles and market segments.
If you encounter issues with your PQ + LinkedIn integration, check the common problems below. Most issues are resolved by adjusting OAuth scopes or checking LinkedIn API access levels.
If no prospect signals are appearing after connection, the most common cause is missing OAuth scopes. Go to your LinkedIn app's Auth settings and verify that openid, profile, email, and w_member_social are all checked. If using Sales Navigator, also ensure r_organization_social and r_liteprofile are enabled. After updating scopes, revoke and reauthorize the connection in PQ Intel.
LinkedIn's API restricts access to certain profile fields depending on your app's partnership tier. Fields like full experience history, education details, and skill endorsements may be unavailable for standard developer apps. PQ Intel displays all fields the API returns. To unlock additional fields, apply for a LinkedIn Partnership tier or use the enrichment toggle which applies multiple API query strategies to maximize field coverage.
LinkedIn enforces strict API rate limits (typically 100 requests per day per user for standard apps). PQ Intel manages this by batching requests and implementing exponential backoff. If you see delayed or missing signals, your app may have hit its daily quota. Upgrade to a LinkedIn Partner app for higher rate limits, or contact support to check if your account is being throttled.
LinkedIn OAuth 2.0 access tokens expire after 60 days. PQ Intel automatically refreshes tokens before expiry, but if the connection was revoked from LinkedIn's side (e.g., password change, app removal, admin policy), you'll need to reauthorize. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn, click Reconnect, and complete the OAuth flow again. Ensure your LinkedIn app's redirect URIs are still up to date.
No. The core PQ + LinkedIn integration works with a free LinkedIn account using standard OAuth 2.0 scopes. However, Sales Navigator unlocks additional lead lists and advanced filters that improve signal precision. If you have Sales Navigator, step 5 in the setup guide shows how to connect it for enhanced targeting.
PQ only reads public profile data and engagement signals that you explicitly authorize via OAuth scopes. We do not access private messages, 1st-degree-only content, connection graphs, or direct messages. You can review and revoke permissions at any time from your LinkedIn account settings under "Authorized Apps."
PQ's detection engine checks for new signals every few minutes. The exact interval depends on your plan tier — Growth plans poll every 5 minutes, while Pro and Enterprise plans get 2-minute intervals. Real-time webhook delivery is supported across all tiers for immediate alert routing.
Yes. PQ Intel supports connecting multiple LinkedIn accounts under a single workspace. This is useful for teams that want to monitor signals across different market segments, regions, or sales pods. Each connection can be configured with its own set of signal types and ICP profiles.
No. All LinkedIn data processed by PQ Intel is stored encrypted at rest using AES-256 and is never shared with third parties. Data is retained only as long as needed for signal detection and is automatically purged if you disconnect the integration. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
If you revoke access from LinkedIn's "Authorized Apps" page, the PQ integration will stop receiving data immediately. You'll need to reauthorize the connection from Settings > Integrations > LinkedIn in PQ Intel to resume signal detection. Existing enriched lead data is retained in your PQ workspace unless you specifically delete it.
Connect PQ Intel to LinkedIn and start receiving real-time buying signals, enriched prospect data, and Sales Navigator alerts. All Growth plans and above include full LinkedIn integration support.
