What this integration does

The PQ + Email integration delivers buying signal alerts directly to your inbox. Whenever PQ Intel detects a high-fit prospect exhibiting intent signals across LinkedIn, Reddit, Hacker News, Product Hunt, Telegram, X, or Medium, a formatted email notification lands in your mailbox — complete with signal context, ICP match score, and a direct link to the full prospect profile. Supports SMTP relay, Postmark, and SendGrid as delivery providers.

The integration supports three delivery modes. Real-time hot alerts fire within 60 seconds of detection for time-sensitive opportunities. Daily digests batch all new signals from the past 24 hours into a single morning briefing delivered at your configured time. Weekly roundups provide pipeline velocity metrics, trending ICP segments, and actionable recommendations every Monday. You can assign different delivery schedules per ICP profile and route alerts to multiple recipient addresses simultaneously.

What your emails include

Each notification includes the prospect's name and company, which platform the signal was detected on, the signal excerpt, PQ's ICP match score, a warm/hot badge classification, and a deep-link back to the full PQ Intel profile. Daily digests include aggregate counts, trending segments, and top-3 hottest leads summary. Weekly roundups add pipeline velocity data, new signal source discovery stats, and contact enrichment completion percentages. All emails render in plain text and HTML formats and are optimized for both desktop and mobile clients including Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.

Set it up in 60 seconds

  1. 1

    Choose your email provider

Select your delivery method in PQ Intel under Settings > Integrations > Email. Choose from SMTP (any provider), Postmark, or SendGrid. Each option shows the credentials you'll need.

  2. 2

    Enter your credentials

For SMTP: provide your server host, port (587 for TLS), username, and password. For Postmark: paste your Server API token. For SendGrid: paste your API key. PQ encrypts all credentials at rest using AES-256.

  3. 3

    Verify the connection

Click Test Connection — PQ sends a test email to the address on file. Check your inbox, confirm delivery, and the connection status updates to green.

  4. 4

    Configure sender authentication

Before sending at scale, ensure your sending domain has valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC DNS records. PQ Intel validates these on save and flags any misconfigurations. For SMTP, your provider's existing records apply. For Postmark and SendGrid, follow their domain verification guides to add the required DNS records. Proper authentication maximizes inbox placement and prevents your alerts from being flagged as spam.

Tip: Most providers include setup wizards — Postmark and SendGrid offer guided domain verification in their account settings.
  5. 5

Set up email templates for each signal type

PQ Intel comes with pre-built templates for Hot Signal Alerts, Daily Digests, Weekly Roundups, and ICP Match Notifications. Each template controls which fields appear, the layout, and the send frequency. You can customize the From: name and address, subject line format, and whether to include signal excerpts, profile links, and score badges. Templates are selectable per ICP profile during schedule configuration.

Tip: Create separate templates for enterprise vs. SMB ICPs to tailor the level of detail in each alert.
  6. 6

    Configure your delivery schedule

Choose between real-time hot alerts (sent within 60 seconds of detection), daily digests (morning summary), or weekly reports. Set recipient addresses and filter by ICP profile or signal type.

Tip: Use +addressing ([email protected]) to route different ICPs into different folders.

Permissions & security

Credentials encrypted at rest

PQ Intel encrypts all SMTP credentials, Postmark tokens, and SendGrid API keys at rest using AES-256. They are never logged, exposed in API responses, or shared between tenants.

TLS 1.3 in transit

All email delivery traffic uses TLS 1.3. PQ Intel never sends signal data over unencrypted SMTP — STARTTLS is enforced on every connection.

Send-as identity control

You control the From: name and address for all delivered emails. PQ Intel never spoofs your domain — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC compliance are maintained through your provider's native authentication.

Granular digest controls

Configure different delivery schedules per ICP profile — real-time hot alerts for enterprise prospects, daily digests for SMB, weekly reports for exploration. Each recipient address gets independent filter rules.
